Upshift does not charge Upshifters any fees to use the platform. The only time an Upshifter may pay a fee is if they request a specific type of screening (for example, a background check) that gives them access to more shifts, or if they fail to return borrowed equipment. Please also keep in mind that state and federal law requires us to withhold income taxes and honor any garnishments.
Upshift charges companies a flat percentage on top of what Upshifters are paid. This means Upshift only makes money when Upshifters make money — we never take money from an Upshifter's pay to make ours.
