Overtime at One Business
You are allowed to work overtime if you are working at just one business in a given week, and they approve it. However, if they have accepted you for over forty hours in a given week, then it is approved.

โOvertime Between Multiple Businesses
You are not able to work over forty hours if you work at more than one business in a week. This is because federal law requires you to be paid 1.5 times the posted rate of pay for overtime hours, and the last business you work for in a week will not want to pay 1.5 times what they planned because you worked elsewhere earlier in the week. The Upshift system should track this and stop you from working over 40 hours in one week, but you are also responsible for tracking your hours in case the hours we have in Upshift are inaccurate.
