Upshift offers different kinds of shift types. They are Single Day, Multiday, and To Hire. There can be just one label on a shift or more, depending on what the shift is offering. Shifts may be on Claim mode as well, which allows Upshifters to be auto-accepted easily.
Claim: Any shift with the blue “claim” label will be what we call “claim mode” shifts. Claim mode means that once you apply for the shift, you are automatically accepted and will then be prompted to confirm.
Single Day: However, the majority of our shifts are in “Single Day” and will not have that blue “claim” label. Single Day means that businesses actively select Upshifters to fill their shifts. The time frame for being accepted may vary based on a number of different factors, including what date the shift is posted for, how many people have already applied, and how active the business is on their account.
Multi-day: Multi-day shifts, marked with a purple label, include more than one day. You must be able to work the entire schedule before applying to a Multi-day shift.
To Hire: The To Hire tag, marked with a green label, indicates that the business is interested in hiring an Upshifter directly for a part-time or full-time position. You should only apply to these shifts if you are open to being hired directly by that business.
