We recommend that you complete your profile first. Make sure to write a short bio that highlights your professional experience and upload an appropriate profile photo.

After completing your profile you are ready to start applying for shifts. Businesses are more inclined to accept your application once you have several shifts and great reviews under your belt. Remember to apply for your first shift carefully by reading the entire shift description. Canceling a confirmed first shift less than 24 hours in advance results in 3 strikes and a permanent suspension from the platform.

Keep in mind, that shifts with the highest wages have the most applicants. New Upshifters can have trouble booking these shifts because more veteran Upshifters with a proven track record look more attractive to businesses. Upshift has seen new Upshifters succeed by applying and completing shifts with lower wages, in the beginning, to build their profiles and go on to book shifts with higher wages.

Upshift does have a disciplinary and attendance policy. While it was stated during your onboarding session, it is important to review our policies.

Upshift has partnered with Paylocity. Paylocity allows you to access pay stubs, update your direct deposit (if you need to), edit your tax information, and access your W-2. You will be eligible to register for a Paylocity account the Tuesday after 12 PM EST following the week you worked your first shift.
