If the shift you applied to has the blue claim label, you will be accepted automatically and prompted to confirm. If you applied to a shift that is not a claim mode, you will have to be accepted by the business.
Businesses accept their own shifts. Therefore, the time frame for being accepted may vary. You will be notified via text message, email, and the Upshift app when you are accepted for a shift.
Once you’ve received the notification, please go back into the app and read the additional details provided: Special Instructions, Travel Tips, Arrival Instructions.
You can confirm shifts via the app by clicking the blue confirm button or by sending the confirmation code back to us via text.
If a business accepts you more than 24 hours before the shift starts, then you have 6 hours to confirm the shift. If a business accepts you less than 24 hours before the shift starts, then you will have 30 minutes to confirm the shift. If you do not confirm the shift within the allotted time frame, you will be removed from the shift. If you are unable to attend a shift or are no longer interested in it, please cancel the shift immediately so that another Upshifter has the opportunity to work the shift. Canceling at this point does not result in a strike.
*You should only attend shifts that have been accepted and confirmed. Attending a shift that you have not been confirmed for may result in disciplinary action.
You need to confirm the shift before you are set to work it.
