You can cancel a shift on the Upshift app at any time before the shift start time, but there are consequences for canceling any confirmed shift. These consequences include:
Canceling a confirmed shift over 24 hours in advance will result in a reduced reliability rating.
If you cancel a confirmed shift within 24 hours of the start time, you will receive one strike and a reduced reliability rating.
However, if it's your during your first FIVE shifts on the platform and you cancel within 24 hours of the start time, you will receive 3 strikes and a permanent suspension β DO NOT DO THIS!
You can cancel a shift by going to "My Shifts", clicking on the "Accepted" tab, selecting the shift you want to cancel, and then clicking the cancel button.
If you are unable to cancel a shift through the app, you must notify the Upshift customer support team through the Help Center in the Upshift app prior to the start time.
*If you do not attend a confirmed shift or cancel it prior to the start time, this will result in 3 strikes for a No Call Now and a permanent suspension from the platform.
