You can edit your direct deposit information on Paylocity or on the Upshift app.

For Paylocity

If you do not have a Paylocity account already you will need to register one. It will not be the same as your Upshifter account. You can find an article below on how to do so:

After signing up for your Paylocity account, you can change your direct deposit information by logging in. Direct Deposit can only be changed in the DESKTOP WEB VERSION. From the Paylocity App (mobile device) you will need to click on "More" and then click on "Paylocity.com" to get to the web browser version. From the web browser version, you will need to log in again. If this information is not updated before Tuesday at 5 pm EST, your earnings from the previous week will be sent to the current account on file.

STEP 1: Navigate to https://access.paylocity.com/ use the company id 42090 and log into your account

  1. Navigate to Employees > Employee Payroll File > Payroll Set Up > Direct Deposit.

  2. Select an existing bank account or Add New Direct Deposit Account from the Add or Edit Account dropdown menu.

  3. Select one of the following from the Account Type dropdown menu:

    • Checking

    • Savings

    • Pay Card

  4. Enter the nine-digit American Banker's Association (ABA) Transit Routing Number in the Routing Number field, without dashes or spaces.

    • Find the Routing Number by looking at the first set of numbers at the bottom of a check. The account number is the second set of numbers in the same area.

    • Employees should provide the Routing Number listed on a check, not a deposit slip. Deposit slip routing numbers are almost always for internal use within the bank.

    • If the bank name does not populate, then use the routing number to search the Federal Reserve website. If listed there, then the bank is a valid institution.

  5. Enter the account number in the Account Number field (17 character limit).

    • If an incorrect character is in the Account Number field, the system will prompt the user with a message stating Account Number cannot contain the character.

    • Although rare, some Bank Account Numbers may contain alpha-characters or dashes within the Account Number.

  6. Complete the following if this is not the main account:

    • Enable the Additional Deposit Account checkbox.

      • Select if the amount should be a Flat amount, a Percent, or a Net Minus from the Amount Type dropdown menu.

      • Selecting Net Minus will issue a live check to the user for the number entered in the Amount field and deposit the remaining balance, if any, into the account entered via the steps above.

      • Choosing a Percent type and entering 100% will result in no additional money going into any other Additional Account(s).

    • Based on the type just chosen, enter the amount the account should receive in the Amount field.
โ€‹Example: A user chose the Percent type and enters 30 into the Amount field so that 30% of the pay will go into this account.

    • Select the radio button next to an additional account and use the arrow icons above that account to change the order in which money deposits into an additional account.

    • Ensure that at least one account is present as the Main account.

      • The Main account is where all funds not allocated to an additional account remain.

      • This will ensure deposits allocate correctly and no potential live checks generate.

  7. Select Save.

    • The entered amount will deposit into each additional account listed.

    • The net check will deposit into the main account.

  4. Click on Direct Deposit Info.

  5. After doing this, you should see a blue button at the bottom of the page called Update Information.

  6. It will then give you the option to either go to Paylocity to update your information or continue on the app. Please click the blue Continue button.

  7. Here you can enter your new routing and account number for your bank.
